"Successful installation and commissioning of long haul BB in China, using for the first time the new TRP25_4

We are pleased to announce the completion of a 32 channel, 2.5 Gbps DWDM link of over 1200km from Shanghai to Beijing. This is the first link in the SSGT network of over 8600km covering the whole of Eastern China. The 2.5Gbps channels utilize the TRP25_4 transponder based on the new combiner base-card.
Performance testing produced excellent results with more than 20dB OSNR.
The rest of the network has already been installed apart from lighting the TRP25_4 channels, which will be completed within the next few weeks.
This network utilizes the XDM's distinctive ability to combine SDH and DWDM on a single platform to provide integrated services over long distances to multiple locations. The converged platform gives SSGT a very cost-effective solution, with both lower equipment and deployment costs. The new network will have the capability to deliver a complete range of sophisticated services to SSGT's customers throughout Eastern China."
